Why the Manna Homeless Society?

One of the main characters in No Right Thing by Laura Langston is homeless, and the novel for teens is set in Qualicum Beach.

You don’t hear a lot about the homeless in a place like Qualicum Beach for a number of reasons. One of them is that the homeless population in small communities is spread out. The Manna Homeless Society in Oceanside (Parksville/Qualicum) has a model that addresses this. They provide mobile services and deliver food and other resources where they are needed most.

The Manna society is on a mission to supply the needy with everything they need to survive.

The Manna Homeless Society also provides the homeless and needy with bicycles. This increases their mobility and makes it easier for them to access other services. The society also provides rain gear, outdoor survival equipment, hygiene supplies and more.

When you buy No Right Thing for $13.95 (+shipping) on this website we’ll donate $6 to the Manna Homeless Society. We’re also donating $1 for every ebook sold.
