CWhy Sierra Club BC?
Environmental sustainability is one of the core values at Crwth. And we’ve been fans of Sierra Club BC for a long time. Sierra Club BC is not connected to the U.S. or Canadian Sierra Clubs. Sierra Club BC has true B.C. grassroots origins and is now the longest-running environmental organizations in the province. Sierra Club BC has participated in every major environmental conservation success in the province in its 50-year history.
Sierra Club BC is a particularly good fit for the Crwth Cares campaign, because the organization does a lot of work in outdoor eduction for children and youth.
We also appreciate Sierra Club BC’s acknowledgement of the need for equitable communities. This statement from their website sums it up nicely:
“Without social justice and respect for Indigenous rights at the forefront, there can be no lasting conservation solutions or transition to a sustainable economy that includes everyone.”
Crwth journals are sustainably produced. They are printed on Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper by an economically sustainable printing company, which makes them a great choice for fundraising for Sierra Club BC.
When you buy a Crwth journal on this website for $15 (+shipping) we’ll donate $7 to Sierra Club BC.

Inspired by a visit to northern Vancouver Island, this piece celebrates the perseverance of nature. The lush foliage beautifully contrasts with and enhances the rust on the machinery, depicting a world in which nature has the power to breathe new life into technology.
